Nishaat has lived all over the world, including Kenya, India, Canada, United Arab Emirates, and Australia. This has allowed her to gain international nutrition experience, and more importantly, the awareness that environment and culture play an essential role in our eating habits. She is passionate about improving people’s lives and relationships with food through sustainable and personalized nutrition coaching and support.
Her journey into nutrition began at McGill University in Montreal where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science and Bachelor of Science in Food Science. Inspired by her education, she decided to become qualified as a Registered Dietitian and moved to Melbourne, Australia to complete her Master of Dietetics at Monash University. During this time, she worked with a wide variety of patients with different health conditions, including diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune diseases, digestive conditions, and cancer. After graduation, Nishaat counselled patients in healthy weight loss and chronic disease prevention and management. She is driven to help her clients avoid or decrease their medications, prevent life-long chronic conditions and feel better in their own bodies so they can enjoy long and happy lives. There is nothing more rewarding than supporting life-changing health improvements.
Her approach to nutrition counselling is that there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ way to eat and that nutrition programs need to be custom-tailored and take into account people’s lifestyles and preferences for them to really work. Her ultimate goal is to empower her clients to take charge of their health and build their confidence in maintaining good, lifelong nutritional habits.
In her free time, she loves to explore different restaurants, travel, practice yoga, and spend time outdoors with loved ones.
