Meet Jessica Savard, RD:
Food has always played a significant role in my life, as I grew up on a hobby farm with a farming family. As I grew older, I became fascinated by the role nutrition plays in overall health and chronic disease prevention. This and my interest in helping others led me to pursue a career as a Registered Dietitian.
As a Certified Diabetes Educator, I specialize in helping those with prediabetes or diabetes manage their blood sugars through a holistic, evidence-based approach that makes day-to-day decisions easier. As an example, this can include teaching clients about the roles of their medications, including sick-day management plans, diet and lifestyle strategies to manage lows and highs, and how to prevent complications.
My passion is working with children and their families to support growth, development and energy. It is incredibly rewarding to help families navigate feeding challenges, picky eating, food allergies, or medical conditions, and to turn mealtimes into something positive instead of stressful.
I recognize that everyone is unique and therefore there is no one-size-fits-all approach to nutrition. I work with my clients to find what works for them, their lifestyles, and their goals. As a registered dietitian, I translate complex nutrition and health science information into practical tools and recommendations, empowering my clients to make informed decisions about their health confidently. My goal is to foster a non-judgmental, supportive environment where clients feel motivated to make the positive and lasting behaviour changes needed to achieve their health goals.
