Nesrine was truly an amazing resource in my battle with a solitary, persistent kidney stone that decided to take up residence for six long months. I really couldn’t have done it without her, especially her support before the gruesome procedure that finally removed it. Not wanting to have the excruciating pain of a kidney stone (ever, ever) again, I consulted with Nesrine to reduce oxalates in my diet. My diet was a particular challenge being vegetarian because oxalates lurked in things like almonds and some legumes, staples in my diet. And then there was, of all things, chocolate, now verboten. Nesrine not only had the knowledge and expertise to put me on the right dietary path, her personality, caring and empathy shone through. It was so easy to establish a rapport with this wonderful, understanding and enthusiastic woman who knew her craft. After only two sessions, we jointly developed a new food regime that should go a long way to preventing kidney stones from taking up residence. I might even be able to have chocolate once in a while! I had never been to a dietitian before but was advised by my doctor to visit one. My cholesterol and blood sugar was at the border line and the target I had was to lose 18 pounds, get my Cholesterol and Blood sugar in acceptable limit. I am very fortune that I found Nishaat an excellent resource at NutriProCan. Within two months I have lost 13 pounds by eating healthy, nutritional balanced diet 5 times a day combined with regular exercise at gym. I have one more month to go before I do my blood work but I know all my targets will be achieved. I contacted Nav based on the experience of a friend of mine. At the time my family doctor had put me on BP and Cholesterol medications and that motivated me to make some changes in my life. Over the last 4 months I’ve dropped 35lbs from 200 to 165. More importantly my BP is normal and I’m in the process of eliminating those medications from my daily routine.
