If you are wondering how long it will take to see your inches decrease, it is important to know that targeted fat loss (often referred to as spot reduction) is not possible and everyone loses fat from different parts of their bodies at different rates.
While everyone is different, it is estimated that you’ll reduce 1 dress/pant size for every 10-15 pounds of weight loss. At a healthy weight loss of 1-2 lbs per week, this would mean you should expect to lose that amount of weight in 5-10 weeks.
Waist circumference is one of the most important measurements when it comes to your health.
This is because fat accumulation around your midsection is tied to chronic disease, and by losing inches around your waist, you can reduce your risk of diseases like type 2 diabetes and heart disease.
According to science, waist circumference measurements should ideally be less than 102 cm (40 inches) for men and less than 88 cm (35 inches) for women.
